So it has been a wee while since I wrote about my chest pain and my breast lump so I thought I'd give you a wee update on what's happened since.
But before we get into it - thank you all so much for all your concerns and lovely messages. It's so nice to see how many people have reached out. Really warms my heart and very grateful.
I started to think about what could have triggered the pain or Costochondritis that my GP said I was experiencing. It started the early week, Monday or Tuesday. And on previous Saturday I was at a house party and I remember doing headstands. Why? Don't ask me - no clue. But I remember we were doing loads of headstands. Now, drunken headstands is definitely not a clever idea. And since my breast lump had nothing to do with the pain I thought it must have been triggered by something else and drunken headstands and back and chest pain sounded like it could be linked. I forgot to mention I was also experiencing severe pain between my shoulder blades. So I went to see a Chiropractor.
If you have followed me for a while you know I went to see probably the number 1 chiropractor in California back in 2017. His name is Dr John Bergman and I highly encourage you to look him up on youtube. His videos are mind-blowing. But I know how the spine and nervous system works and how important it is to look after your spine and get adjusted on a regular basis. As I know what a "fucked up" spine can do to your health and wellbeing.
Anyway, I have been to a chiropractor here in Edinburgh before. Although this guy I didn't particularly like. He adjusted me a few times, but he was a bit clueless. And when it comes to chiropractors - you gotta be careful and do your research. As they will either change your body and health or fuck you up even more.
So I found this chiropractor in North Berwick called East Lothian Chiropractic and went for a visit to see Dr Alison Schwarz DC. My first visit was Thursday last week and oh my have my pain improved! After she adjusted me the first time the pain got more localised and not all over my chest and I could actually feel it was linked to an issue with my spine. I saw her again today and feel great. The chest pain has dramatically improved. I'm going to go and see her again to get adjusted this Thursday coming up and go a few times a week for a few weeks to get things back to normal.
If you live in Scotland Id highly recommend to go and see them.
But there is still the breast lump...
I got the letter in the post last week about my appointment with the breast clinic. And it's not until the 13th of May! I was a bit shocked that I have to wait that long to find out if I have breast cancer or not...
A lot of my friends have said, "Oh well they might think its nothing too serious then!" Well yes but no. Shouldn't all mysterious lumps get checked ASAP? Although, it could be that there are so many other people that are in the need for an appointment too, hence the long wait.
I don't know if there is another way to get a quicker appointment? Go private? I don't think its anything serious - but I'd rather know now than in 1 months time!
To be continued.
